Urge Facebook to protect kids’ health with responsible privacy practices
Given the links between junk food marketing and the current epidemic of childhood obesity, Facebook’s privacy policies — and the ways in which the company uses the vast amount of personal data it collects from young users for advertising — are a cause for concern, as they expose kids and teens to health risks. Please join the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) in asking Facebook to safeguard the privacy, safety and health of the youth using its site by curbing online surveillance of kids for commercial purposes and restricting messaging that promotes unhealthy behavior.
